Bolton Valley in the Summer

Centrally located to Burlington and Waterbury, Bolton Valley is an ideal place to stay while exploring the natural beauty of northern Vermont. There are several worthwhile attractions within a half hour drive of Bolton Valley such as the Ben and Jerry's Factory, Shelburne Museum, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and beautiful Lake Champlain. Dining, live music venues, museums and special events abound in Burlington and the surrounding communities. Best of all, when you are done exploring you can retreat to Bolton Valley for a comfortable evening in the cool mountain air.

We host several weddings throughout the summer at The Ponds, a beautiful Adirondack style venue set on a spring-fed mountain pond overlooking Camel's Hump and the Green Mountains. You will also see the Michelin Driving school in full operation around the mountain in the summer, conducing skid testing in the Timberline parking lot and off road testing on the mountain.

With Bolton Valley's 5000 acres of pristine wilderness hikers are never at a loss for a good trail. Whether you explore the trails on the alpine resort or hike on our narrow backcountry trails; good views and a peaceful time in the woods is easy to find. The famous state-long Long Trail travels the ridge line atop our backcountry trails and a stop at Harrington's View is a must for an afternoon lunch.
